Privacy Policy

Hanfu Me (“we”, “us”) turns a selfie you upload into ancient-style avatars using AI. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We designed the service to keep as little of your data as possible.

Your uploaded photo

We use the photo you upload solely to generate your avatars. We delete the original photo immediately after processing — it is held only in memory for the seconds it takes to generate your images and is never written to long-term storage. We never keep it, and we never share or sell it. We do not use your photo to train AI models.

Facial data

Generating an avatar requires our AI provider to analyze the face in your photo so the result resembles you. This processing is transient and tied to that single generation; we do not build, store, or maintain a face template, faceprint, or other biometric identifier, and we do not use facial data for recognition or identification.

Generated avatars

The avatars we generate for you are stored so you can view and download them from your account. We keep them until you delete them or close your account. You can request deletion at any time from your account or by contacting us.

Account & payment

We store your email address to sign you in, and your credit balance and purchase history to run the service. Payments are processed by our payment provider; we never receive or store your full card details.

Content safety

To keep the service safe and lawful, uploaded photos are automatically screened before processing. We do not permit photos of minors or explicit content, and we may refuse to process a photo that fails screening.

Service providers we use

We rely on a small number of vendors that process data on our behalf, under contracts that limit them to providing their service to us:

• An AI image-generation provider, to create your avatars from your photo.
• A cloud platform, to host the app, your account, and your generated avatars.
• A payment processor, to take payment and manage your credit balance.
• An image-screening provider, to check uploads for unsafe content.

We do not sell your personal information or share it with advertisers.

How long we keep data

• Original uploaded photos: not retained — deleted immediately after processing.
• Generated avatars: until you delete them or close your account.
• Account & purchase records: for as long as your account is open, and as required afterward for legal, tax, and accounting purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you are in the EEA or UK (GDPR), or in California (CCPA/CPRA), these rights apply to you, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. Age requirement

Hanfu Me is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18, and uploads of photos of minors are not permitted. If we learn we have collected data from someone under 18, we will delete it.

International users

We operate globally and our providers may process and store data in countries other than yours, including outside the EEA/UK. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to operate the site. If we later add analytics, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date above.
